Transatlantic cooperation in science depends on institutions that can sustain trust, careers, and long-term collaboration across political and economic uncertainty.
I have recently joined Atlantik-Brücke e.V. to contribute an independent scientific perspective to dialogue on research policy, technology, and international cooperation. My work in radio astronomy began with transatlantic VLBI collaborations linking the Effelsberg radio telescope with observatories in West Virginia and California, and continues to inform my engagement in strengthening cooperation between European and North American research communities at a systemic level.
